Celebrating our libraries

St Agnes library celebrated national Libraries Week with a Horrible Histories themed coffee morning, where they were joined by parliamentary candidate Ruth Gripper.

The popular library is managed by the parish council. The coffee morning saw staff and volunteers in fancy dress, and ‘horrible’ cakes available for a donation.

Commenting, Ruth said: “It was a real pleasure to visit St Agnes library and hear about the fantastic work they do – including the very successful summer reading challenge earlier this year. Rachel, Andrew and the volunteer team have made this relatively small space into a wonderfully lively hub for the community.”
