Caroline Voaden will visit Falmouth next week to speak about her first two months as a Liberal Democrat MEP - and whether Brexit can be stopped.
She will be joined by Ruth Gripper, Liberal Democrat parliamentary candidate for Truro and Falmouth.
The event is free to attend.
- 6-8pm Cavendish Coffee House, 12 Market Street, Falmouth, TR11 3AE
Caroline Voaden, MEP for SW England and Gibraltar since June's European elections, is a former journalist. Caroline got involved in politics because of the EU referendum. She is now one of 16 Liberal Democrat MEPs elected in June and working at the heart of Europe, fighting to keep Britain in the EU. Caroline is a member of the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety, and is also a member of the delegation for relations with the Arab Peninsula.
Commenting ahead of the event, Ruth Gripper said:
"We're lucky to have Liberal Democrat MEPs like Caroline working at the heart of Europe, and I'm looking forward to hearing about her work.
"People in Truro and Falmouth voted to Remain. The country did not vote to leave without a deal. We need the government to give people the final say."
